This Electronic Communications and Records Consent ("Consent") explains how Legal Authority Lab, LLC — which offers the FileShark software under its Legal and Code brand — delivers records related to your purchase of FileShark to you electronically. It is separate from your acceptance of the Terms of Use and your acknowledgment of the Privacy Policy.
1. Your Consent
By checking the box presented with this Consent, you agree to receive the following from Legal Authority Lab electronically, instead of on paper: license agreements and order forms, order confirmations and receipts, invoices and payment or refund notices, support and update notices, and other communications about your purchase and account.
This Consent covers communications between you and Legal Authority Lab about your purchase of the Software. It does not govern communications that FileShark sends to your own clients when you operate the Software; you are responsible for those.
2. How Records Are Made Available
Electronic records will be made available on-screen at the time of purchase, through your account, and by email.
3. Hardware and Software Requirements
To access and retain records under this Consent, you need a device connected to the internet, a current web browser, a valid email address, and software capable of viewing PDF documents.
4. Requesting a Paper Copy
You may request a paper copy of any record covered by this Consent by contacting support@legalauthoritylab.com. A fee of $45 applies to each paper-copy request.
5. Withdrawing Your Consent
You may withdraw your consent to receive these records electronically at any time by contacting support@legalauthoritylab.com. Withdrawal applies to records sent after we process your request and does not affect the validity of records already delivered. Withdrawal does not cancel any purchase or agreement already in effect.
6. Updating Your Contact Information
You are responsible for keeping your email address current. You may update your contact information in your account or by contacting support@legalauthoritylab.com.
7. Delivery of a Copy of This Consent
You will receive a copy of this Consent, in the form you agreed to, on-screen at the time of consent.
